I read a story about a guy today. He’s young, he’s an entrepreneur, and he has been both a success and has struck out.

Ever have those days when you’re not entirely sure you’re on the right path? Where you question each step – both taken and that lay ahead of you?

What I have found is that, in those tenuous moments: look within.

When you look within, you’ll find answers, ideas, inspiration, power and resolve. It’s never handed to you. No one will give it to you. It won’t walk up to you, tap you on the shoulder and say “Hey! I have a thought that will change your life!”

Nearly 3 years ago I was pushed out of my 6th job in 11 years. It sucked. I could not stomach going for job #7, but never felt I could swing my own business. But such was my aversion to Dreaded Job #7 that I struck out. Literally. For 6 months I made nothing – not a single penny. As a single mom of 2 lovely boys, it was terrifying.

But then, I looked within. I listened to what others were saying they needed and between those two things, devised a way to deliver a service that filled the gap.

You don’t need to be an Einstein or an Edison to make your own path. Just listen – both to what people are saying they need, and to the little voice inside of you saying “You can DO this!”

Be inspired today. Look within.
